Logic Grid Puzzles
How to play
- Goal: match every person with one item from each category, for example who plays which instrument and which year they joined the band.
- The grid: every pair of categories has its own block of squares. Tap a square once to mark ✗ (these two don't go together), again to mark ✓ (these two do), and a third time to clear it.
- Auto-cross: when you place a ✓, the rest of its row and column in that block fill with ✗ automatically. You can turn this off in the options.
- Clues: tap a clue to cross it off once you've used it.
- Checking: "Check my grid" flashes any square that's wrong. The puzzle is solved when every ✓ is in the right place.
Tips
- Start with the clues that say two things are the same or different. They give you marks straight away.
- Clues like "earlier" or "cheaper" rule out the ends: whoever is cheaper than someone can't be the most expensive.
- When a row has only one empty square left, it must be the ✓.
- Information carries across blocks. If Ann plays drums and the drummer joined in 1972, then Ann joined in 1972.
Logic grid puzzles are the classic "who did what" brain teasers. A short story and a handful of clues are all you get, and with careful thinking you can work out exactly how everything fits together. Every puzzle here is generated fresh, has exactly one solution and can be solved with logic alone.
