FreeCell
How to play
- Goal: move all cards to the four foundations at the top right, by suit, from Ace to King.
- Free cells: the four spaces at the top left each hold one card of your choice. Use them to park cards temporarily.
- Building: build the eight columns downward in alternating colors.
- Moving runs: you can move several cards at once if you have enough free cells and empty columns to do it one card at a time. The game does the shuffling for you.
- Auto-play: cards that are safe to move to the foundations go there automatically.
Tips
- Free cells fill up fast. Try to keep at least one open.
- An empty column is worth more than a free cell, because it doubles how many cards you can move at once.
- Find the Aces and twos early and plan how to dig them out.
In FreeCell every card is dealt face up, so there is no luck once the cards are on the table. Almost every deal can be won with careful play, which makes it the favorite of solitaire players who love a pure puzzle. Deals are numbered the same way as the classic Windows version, so Game #11982 here is the same famous deal.
