Spider Solitaire
How to play
- Goal: build eight complete runs, each going from King down to Ace in a single suit. A finished run clears itself off the table.
- Building: you can place any card on a card one rank higher, whatever the suit: a 7 on any 8.
- Moving groups: only runs of the same suit in order can be moved together, so same-suit builds are worth more.
- Empty columns: any card or same-suit run can go into an empty column.
- Dealing: tap the stock at the top left to deal one new card onto every column. Every column needs at least one card before you can deal.
Tips
- Build in the same suit whenever you have a choice. Mixed runs get stuck.
- Empty columns are gold. Use them to rearrange runs, then fill them back up before you deal.
- Turn over face-down cards before dealing new ones.
- Undo is unlimited, so feel free to experiment.
Spider Solitaire is played with two decks across ten columns. It is the most strategic of the classic solitaire games, and you can make it as easy or as tough as you like: one suit is relaxing, two suits is a real puzzle, and four suits is for experts.
Scoring
You start with 500 points. Each move costs 1 point and every completed run earns 100.
