Pyramid Solitaire
How to play
- Goal: remove every card from the pyramid.
- Pairs: tap two uncovered cards that add up to 13 to remove them. Aces are 1, Jacks 11, Queens 12. Kings are 13 on their own, so a single tap removes them.
- Uncovered cards: a card is available once both cards overlapping it from the row below are gone.
- The stock: tap the deck to turn over a card. The top card of the waste pile can pair with any uncovered pyramid card.
- Passes: you can go through the deck three times.
Tips
- Work on the parts of the pyramid that uncover the most cards.
- If a card has two possible partners, use the one that frees up more of the pyramid.
- Remember what is coming in the deck on your second and third passes.
Pyramid Solitaire is a quick, satisfying game of adding to 13. Twenty-eight cards are dealt in a pyramid, and your job is to clear it by pairing cards. Games take a few minutes, which makes it perfect for a coffee break.
