Status as of October 4, 2026: applications for the UK show are open until October 30, 2026. The American version’s official application still shows a deadline of November 17, 2025, so we could not confirm an open U.S. round.
The UK Show: Lee Mack on ITV
The original show is a Magnum Media production for ITV, created by Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach and hosted by Lee Mack, and a Saturday-night fixture on ITV. In May 2026 ITV signed a new three-year deal for more series and specials, including the return of The 1% Club Rollover, and says the show regularly tops five million viewers an episode.
How to Apply in the UK
ITV’s Be on TV page is casting for Series 6, The 1% Club Rollover Series 2, a 2026 Christmas special and a possible New Year special, with up to £100,000 to win. The deadline is 30 October 2026, at the producer’s discretion. To apply, you must:
- be 18 or over;
- not have appeared on the show before;
- not work, or have worked, for Magnum Media or ITV, or know anyone who does;
- be a legal resident of, and live in, the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man;
- be free to film at the studio in Elstree, London, between 3 November and 13 December 2026.
The Rollover series asks for up to five days’ availability, currently 3–7 November 2026. The production does not pay travel or hotel costs. SRO Audiences, which usually handles studio audiences, carries the same contestant application; its listing is not a ticket offer.
The U.S. Show: Joel McHale on FOX
In America, The 1% Club airs on FOX with Joel McHale. FOX billed its return on Monday, April 13, 2026 (8 p.m. ET/PT) as the Season 2 premiere, and new episodes resumed on Monday, July 13. Hulu added the Season 2 premiere the next day, and FOX says available Season 2 episodes stream on FOX One.
How to Apply in the U.S.
American casting is run by BBC Studios and Cornwell Collazo Casting. Its page says applicants must be at least 18 and legal U.S. residents, and the casting FAQ says filming may take place in the Atlanta, Georgia area, with contestants paying their own travel and no payment for taking part beyond the chance to win up to $100,000. When we checked on October 4, 2026, the application form still said applications must be received by November 17, 2025, so look on the casting page for a new round before you apply. Anyone who applied before October 1, 2025 is asked to sign in and renew their application.
How the Game Works
ITV casts 100 players for each show and describes the aim as getting from being “a 90% player” all the way to “the 1% question.” FOX sums it up as contestants trying to answer questions that only 1% of the population can answer.
A Word of Caution
A real casting call never charges a fee: anyone who asks for money to get you on a show is not the show. GameShows.com is a fan site: we do not cast any show, and comments on this page do not reach the producers.
