Status as of October 24, 2026: applications are closed. ITV recruits contestants for The Chase through its own application form, which says: “Applications for The Chase are now closed. Please keep an eye on ITV Be On TV for when we will be accepting applications for the new series.” ITV’s Be On TV page for the show says the same.

When Applications Reopen

ITV posts its casting calls on Be On TV, so that is the page to watch for the next series. ITV’s page for the show says “Applicants must be 18 years of age or over,” and that the programme’s own terms are on its application form, so read those when the next round opens. If you applied in the past and want your details deleted, the form explains how.

Beat the Chasers

The prime-time spin-off, in which contestants take on the Chasers alone rather than as a team, has its own application form, and it says Beat the Chasers “is not open for registration at the moment.”

Studio Audience Tickets

Ordinary episodes do not take an audience. A Den of Geek writer at a recording in 2018 reported that they are filmed without one (“the laughter is added in post-production”), and none of the three ticket sites ITV recommends lists them. The specials are different: ITV’s own guide to free tickets names SRO Audiences for The Chase, and SRO keeps a waiting list for three Chase programmes:

When we checked, none of the three had recording dates. Each page adds you to SRO’s mailing list, to be told when booking opens, which SRO says is “usually a few weeks before recording,” and you can ask for up to four tickets. The celebrity specials and the bloopers screenings are at Elstree Film & TV Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire; SRO gives Elstree & Borehamwood as the nearest station, about 25 minutes from St Pancras.

SRO says its tickets are free and that a ticket does not guarantee entry, and “anyone selling or purchasing tickets will not be admitted,” so never pay for one.

Not the U.S. Show

ABC’s American version, hosted by Sara Haines, ran from 2021 to 2023, and ABC has not announced whether it will return. Our U.S. guide explains where things stand, and our tickets page covers both versions.

More UK Quiz Shows

Many of ITV’s other quiz shows post their casting calls on the same Be On TV page. Our guide to The 1% Club has that show’s latest call for contestants, and our UK Deal or No Deal guide explains how that show, which has its own application site, recruits.

A Word of Caution

A real casting call never charges a fee: anyone who asks for money to get you on a show is not the show. GameShows.com is a fan site: we do not cast any show, and comments on this page do not reach the producers.
