Status as of October 4, 2026: there is no open U.S. casting call. When we checked in October 2026, NBC had cancelled Deal or No Deal Island (in December 2025, after two seasons), and Endemol Shine North America was quietly shopping a new version of the original game to networks, Deadline reported; nothing has been announced.

Looking for the UK Show?

The British Deal or No Deal, hosted by Stephen Mulhern on ITV, is a separate show with its own application, and its applications are closed too. Its official application site says “Applications are now closed for this series” and asks people to keep checking back. Our UK guide covers the application and the studio audience.

A Short History

Deal or No Deal launched on NBC in December 2005 with Howie Mandel as host, and ran for four seasons to 2010. A syndicated daytime version followed from 2008, and CNBC revived the show with Mandel in 2018, taped at Universal Orlando Resort, through August 2019. Deal or No Deal Island, a mix of the original game with physical challenges, ran for two seasons on NBC with Joe Manganiello as host before its cancellation.

How the Game Works

In the original U.S. game, a contestant picks one of 26 briefcases, each holding an amount from a penny to $1 million, then opens the others in rounds while a Banker makes offers to buy the chosen case. Our how-to-play guide explains the rest, and our how-to-watch guide lists where past episodes stream.

If Casting Opens

When a network picks the show up, the official application will be posted by the producers or the network, and we will link it here the day it appears. Until then there is nothing to apply for, whatever other sites say.

A Word of Caution

A real casting call never charges a fee: anyone who asks for money to get you on a show is not the show. GameShows.com is a fan site: we do not cast any show, and comments on this page do not reach the producers.
