How to Get Tickets to Jeopardy!

Tickets to a Jeopardy! taping are free. They are handed out by On Camera Audiences: jeopardy.com’s own tickets address, jeopardy.com/tickets, leads straight to its Jeopardy! page, and the details below come from that page.

Where Jeopardy! Is Taped

Jeopardy! tapes at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California; On Camera Audiences gives the address as 3970 Overland Avenue. Parking information and check-in instructions are on your ticket.

How to Get Tickets

• Pick a date on On Camera Audiences’ Jeopardy! page. Dates are posted up to 60 days ahead. “Get Tickets” on a date means tickets are available; “Submit Info” means the taping is full or tickets have not been released yet, and you can leave your details to be told when they are.
• Everyone in your party needs their own ticket.
• Choose only one arrival per day. If you would like to stay for more, ask the audience coordinator on site.
• You can print your ticket or keep it on your phone to show at the studio entrance.

Who Can Attend

• The minimum age is 8, and anyone under 18 must come with a parent or legal guardian.
• Everyone needs ID to be admitted: adults a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport, minors a school ID or birth certificate.

How Long It Takes

Jeopardy! generally tapes five episodes a day for two different audiences, so you will see two or three episodes. On Camera Audiences says to allow about four to five hours from arrival to the end of the final taping. The show’s own FAQ says it typically tapes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from July to May, with two seatings each tape date, and that new dates are posted a few weeks in advance.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! and ESPN Jeopardy!

The spin-offs also tape at Sony Pictures Studios, with tickets from the same company and the same minimum age of 8. Pop Culture Jeopardy! generally tapes five shows a day for three audiences, each seeing one or two episodes, and asks you to allow four to five hours. ESPN Jeopardy! generally taped three shows a day for three audiences, one episode each, in about three hours.

How On Camera Audiences Tickets Work

These points come from On Camera Audiences’ FAQ and apply to its tapings in general:

• Tickets are free, with no fees or purchase requirements.
• More tickets are given out than there are seats, so that the studio is full, and ticket holders are let in first come, first served. Now and then people are turned away; anyone turned away for lack of space gets a ticket with priority admission to another taping.
• The arrival time on your ticket is the time to be in line at the entrance, ready to check in. Parking is not always next to the venue, so allow time to park and walk.
• Anyone who arrives late, even with a priority ticket, goes on standby.
• On clothes, it says most shows recommend solid, bright colors and no logos, busy patterns or all-white or all-black outfits, and that your ticket confirmation has the rules for your show.
