The Price Is Right: How to Be a Contestant

Contestants on The Price Is Right come from its studio audience. CBS describes the show, hosted by Drew Carey, as one “where audience members try to win cash and prizes,” and the show’s ticket company, On Camera Audiences, answers its own question about becoming a contestant on it with a link to the ticket page. The way onto the stage starts with a seat in the audience.

Step 1: Get Tickets

Tickets are free, from On Camera Audiences. The minimum age to attend is 18. Each taping day has several shows, and you can attend only one a day. Dates are posted up to 60 days ahead, and tickets are generally released about a month in advance. Step 2: Know the Game

If your name is called, you bid from Contestants’ Row, and the closest bid without going over earns a pricing game; the pricing-game players then spin the Big Wheel for a place in the Showcase.
